MAIN ROUTE
TORMOS-EBO.
Level of difficulty: medium
Duration: 3h 30’
This route starts at the Tormos cemetery and gradually rises along a beautiful path that is still terraced in many places, passing between the two summits of the Serra Caval. After about 45 minutes, you will reach a well where a house in ruins can be found. Later on, we will also find various animal pens, also in ruins and surrounded by abandoned, unirrigated terraces from which the whole Pego valley can be taken in. From here, the path begins to level off, going below the white stones until you get to some cultivated terraces where there is a forest track. Following this you will find a sign where there is a path that meets the Barranc de l’Infern (Ravine of Hell) path. Once on the path, follow it as far as the Pego-Ebo road. Go in the direction of Ebo and after 500 metres, on the right, take the forest track for the Refugio de La Figuereta hostel. Soon you will see the sign for Ebo, this path crosses the road and goes as far as the Barranc de l’Infern. You will pass the Gili spring and reach Ebo.
EBO-ADSUBIA.
Duration: 2h 15’
From Ebo, take the Alcalà road, and after about 500 metres take a road to the right which, following some noticeable ramps, will arrive at an animal pen from where you have a view of the Pego valley and Adsubia; going down, further on the road becomes unsurfaced. You will go past a well, the water of which is good to drink, and soon you will find the sign for the path you need to take on the left-hand side. Go up as far as the junction of the road that goes up to Xillibre. Follow the road and take a turnoff along a forest path to the right, which vehicles cannot travel on. This passes below the impressive Xillibre gullies, in the direction of the Gallinera Valley castle. You will reach a junction where the path for Adsubia begins. Following the Adsubia path, after about 10 minutes you will reach a terrace; on the right, near a large crag you will see the roof of a well where you can drink. Keep descending, winding down the path until you reach a small white house where the forest track that takes you to Adsubia ends.
ADSUBIA-PEGO.
Duration: 1h 35’
To begin this route you have to take the surfaced road at the end of Calle de La Font. Past the gully, the path goes gradually upwards. It would be better to take this slope gently. After about 30 minutes you pass by the Mallaes Spring where you can quench your thirst and recover strength. Soon you will reach the Pla del Miserà. The signpost gives directions. Follow the road to the left. After a steep slope down and a number of bends, the path begins on the left. From this point, you have to continue with care, as there are quite a few beehives nearby. This stretch of the path is very pretty and passes through a pine wood. Near the end it passes a number of detached houses and arrives at a surfaced road that takes you to the Calvario and the Paseo Cervantes in Pego.
